When I hear nature I think of the weather. Some people might directly attribute nature to the environment or animals, but I think of nature as climate conditions. When it is snowing, raining, warm, cold, etc. we say "Mother Nature is causing this", so in my mind, it only seems natural to immediately think of the weather when I hear “nature”. Everyday nature impacts my life because outside it could be cold, rainy, warm etc. which effects how I will dress. Other parts of nature such as the trees and animals also affect me, maybe not in everyday instances, but they do impact me. For example, without trees, I wouldn’t be able to breathe. In science classes I have learned a lot about the natural world including the different parts of the atmosphere, and the different things in the air that help us breathe.
Last week there was a significant experience that I had that connected me to nature. On Friday February 5th, it started snowing and did not stop until late the next day. When it was finished, we had around 26 inches of snow. My family and I were like prisoners in our own home and didn’t see a snow plow in our neighborhood until the next day. Little did we know this would only be the beginning. The following Tuesday it snowed 20 more inches. Once again we could not get out for a few days. I guess you could say this was a bad experience because I could not go anywhere for a while, but it connected me to nature and was a little fun.
